What was Great Zimbabwe?
|
The modern state of Zimbabwe (in southern Africa) is named after the ruins of some huge stone-walled enclosures that were found in the hills of south-central Zimbabwe. Great Zimbabwe was where the ruler of the city lived, and was the centre of religious life for his people.
