What was D-Day?
|
D-Day was a code name used in the Second World War. It was the name given to the date when 130,000 troops from the British and American armies were due to land in France and liberate it from the Germans. The date was changed several times due to bad weather, but D-Day eventually took place on June 6, 1944.
