Why did some dinosaurs have armoured heads?
Some dinosaurs were meat-eating predators. Not surprisingly, many of the plant-eating dinosaurs developed armoured heads to help defend themselves. The head of Triceratops was covered with a large plate and carried three forward-pointing horns. Leptoceratops was much smaller and lacked Triceratops' horns.
