How does a spider make a web?
|
Spiders make silk in glands near their abdomens. They draw the silk out into threads to build insect traps called webs. The orb spider first fixes threads in a box shape. Then it weaves more threads to the centre. The threads are covered in sticky droplets to catch insects.
