What did prehistoric fish eat?
Although no one can be completely sure, the diet of prehistoric fish probably consisted of worm-like creatures and molluscs. Some of the larger species of fish had numerous sharp teeth. They might have chased and eaten other fish, in a similar way to modern-day sharks and barracudas.
