Can animals change a habitat?
|
Some animals can change their habitats. Beavers cut down trees with their strong teeth. Then they use the trees, together with mud and stones, to dam streams. Their homes, called lodges, are large piles of sticks built up from the bottom of the ponds they have created. Here, they raise their young, safely away from predators.
