What lives in a habitat?
|
A habitat is a particular place, such as a woodland or a pond. Certain plants and animals are suited to living there, and nowhere else. They have adapted to living in that habitat. In a pond, the fish and plants can only live in the water, not on dry land. Birds such as herons and swans only feed and nest in watery habitats.
