Which building materials did the Romans use?
Most Roman buildings were made of bricks and concrete. Stone and glass were more expensive, so they were only used for important buildings. Romans were experts at building arches. They built a temporary wooden arch first, then covered it with bricks and poured concrete over the top. Finally the wooden arch was removed.
