What is inside a battery?
|
Cars and trucks use a type of battery called a storage battery. It contains flat plates of lead and lead oxide dipped in sulphuric acid. When the battery is connected to a circuit, a chemical reaction between the plates and the acid makes an electric current flow around the circuit. A storage battery is recharged by passing an electric current through it.
