How does a jet engine work?
|
A large spinning fan at the front of the engine sucks in air. The air is then compressed and heated by burning fuel in the combustion chamber. This makes the air expand quickly. A jet of hot air rushes out of the back of the engine and pushes the aeroplane forward.
