What forces act on an aeroplane in flight?
|
Four forces act on an aeroplane. Its weight acts downward. The thrust of its engines pushes it forwards. Lift created by its wings acts upward. Drag tries to slow it down. Thrust must overcome drag, and lift must overcome weight, if a plane is to fly.
