How does a refrigeration truck keep its cargo cold?
Cargoes that have to be kept cold are transported in a refrigerated truck. The insulated trailer has a refrigeration unit on the front. Liquid coolant flows through pipes in the trailer and absorbs heat from the cargo. The coolant returns to the refrigeration unit and gives up its heat to the outside air. It is then compressed to turn it back into a cold liquid and recirculated through the trailer.
