What are composites?
|
Composites are materials made by combining two or more materials. Many kinds of boats are made by laying mats of glass fibres into a mould and then soaking the mats in liquid plastic. The plastic sets hard and is reinforced by the fibres to make a smooth, tough, lightweight hull.
