How do plants make seeds?
|
Plants have male and female parts that join together to make seeds. A pollen grain travels from the male anther of one flower to the female stigma of another. The pollen is usually carried by an insect or the wind. It fertilises an egg in the ovary, which becomes an embryo and then a seed. The seed will grow into a new plant.
