|
The Sun has a diameter of 1,320,000 kilometres. Its volume is approximately 1.3 million times larger than the Earth's. However, the Sun is only a medium-sized star; many stars are much bigger. By comparison, the biggest planet in our Solar System is Jupiter (143,000 km diameter), and the smallest is Pluto (2,000 km diameter).
