Pacific Arts Festival

Feasts and festivals have always been popular with the Melanesian, Micronesian, and Polynesian peoples who live on the thousands of small islands in the Pacific Ocean. No Pacific celebration is complete without singers and dancers dressed in garlands of flowers. The 1988 Pacific Arts Festival was held on the island of Tahiti.
