Independence Day
Independence Day is celebrated every year in the United States on July 4. The Americans take part in pageants, where people dress in costumes to bring history back to life. They sometimes wear soldiers' uniforms which date back to 1776, the year in which the United States declared its independence from Great Britain. Americans fly their country's flag everywhere for July 4 celebrations.
