World 'Expos'
|
|
Expo '92 was billed as 'the event of the century.' It was held in the Spanish city of Seville in 1992 and marked the 500th anniversary of Columbus' voyage to the Americas. Over a hundred countries built special pavilions and exhibition halls on the site. They displayed the wonders of modern technology and architecture and hosted art exhibitions, concerts, and displays of dancing. Visitors came from all over the world.
