In the winter of 1885, a track of cloven hoofprints extending for some 99 miles (160km) through snow across the countryside of Devon, England, were discovered. The tracks were traced over walls, across roofs and haystacks. The creature that made the tracks has never been identified. Some people believe them to have been the work of the devil.
