Ghostly Profile
|
Twenty-five years after the death of Henry Liddell, dean of Christ Church Cathedral, Oxford, and father of Alice - the girl for whom Lewis Carroll wrote his famous Alice in Wonderland books - his profile appeared as a damp outline on the wall of the cathedral. The stain on the wall was still recognisable 3 years later.
