Coffee Time
Food fads are nothing new. King Gustav III, the 18th century ruler of Sweden, was convinced that coffee was lethally poisonous. So strong was his belief that he ordered a criminal to drink himself to death with coffee. The execution was not very successful. It lasted until the condemned man died of old age at 83.
