Flying Reptiles
At the time the marine reptiles and the ammonites dominated the seas, and the dinosaurs stalked the land, the skies were ruled by another group of reptiles - the Pterosaurs.

(A) TYPICAL PTEROSAUR
Peteinosaurus had a furry lightweight body and leathery wings attached to immensely long fourth fingers.

(B) SHORT-TAILED PTEROSAURS
More advanced pterosaurs, like Pterodactylus and Anurognathus, had short tails and long wrists.

(C) LONG-TAILED PTEROSAURS
Primitive pterosaurs, like Rhamphorhynchus, had long tails and short wrists.
