Now make your countdown chain. Cut some different coloured pieces of paper into 3cm x 20cm strips.

Fold one of the strips of paper around to form a ring and glue the two ends together. Then put a second strip through the ring and glue the ends of that strip together.

You can use different colours as you make your chain so it creates a nice pattern. It's best to design your coloured pattern first before you start gluing your chain.
