Next, attach the cord to the coat button. How will you do this? You could thread the cord through the eyes of the coat button (how will you stop the button sliding along the thread?). Or you could glue something to the top of the button to thread the cord through.

Measure out the length of cord you want to use, to hang the pendant around your neck. Make sure you select enough cord.
