The last spirit who visits Scrooge is the Ghost of Christmas Future. This spirit shows Scrooge a vision of the future that might be. This silent spectre shows Scrooge Tiny Tim's abandoned crutches, and then takes Scrooge to a graveyard. Scrooge expects to see Tiny Tim's name on the gravestone, but instead he sees his own. This final shock makes Scrooge understand the error of his ways and from that moment he vows to keep the true spirit of Christmas everyday of the year.
When Scrooge wakes up, he is surprised to find himself back in his own bed, but the strange events of the night have not been forgotten. Without even stopping to get dressed, Scrooge rushes out of his house to start spreading Christmas cheer, starting with the Crachit family and little Tiny Tim.
