       1) The biggest eggs in the world are Ostrich eggs. You 
        can make an omelette big enough to feed 12 people from one ostrich egg. 
      2) The world's largest lollipop weighed 1.01 tons and 
        was made in Sydney, Australia in August 1990. 
      3) The longest ever cream cake was 1037.25m long, and 
        was made in Ypres, Belgium in September 1992. 
      4) The largest sweet ever made was a marzipan chocolate 
        weighing 1.85 tons made in Diemen, Netherlands in May 1990. 
      5) The largest cookie ever made was a chocolate chip 
        cookie with an area of 84.35 m2, made in Wisconsin, USA in July 1992. 
        It was 10.36 m in diameter and contained nearly 4 million chocolate chips. 
      6) The largest apple pie ever baked was made by ITV 
        chef Glynn Christian in a 12 x 7 m dish in Chelsfield, England from 25 
        to 27 August 1982. The pie weighed 13.66 tons. 
      7) The longest banana split ever created measured 7.32 
        km in length, made in Pennsylvania, USA in April 1988 
      8) The largest cake ever made weighed 58.08 tons, including 
        7.35 tons of icing. It was made to celebrate the 100th birthday of the 
        town Fort Payne in Alabama, USA. 
      9) The largest Christmas pudding was one of 3.28 tons 
        made in the village of Aughton in Lancashire. It took nine days to make. 
      10) The largest doughnut ever made was a jam doughnut 
        weighing 1,700 kg, which was 4.9 m wide and 40.6 high in the centre. It 
        was made in New York, USA in January 1993. 
      11) The largest milk shake ever was a chocolate one 
        of 7160.8 litres made by in Ohio, USA in October 1989. 
      12) The largest ever cucumber weighed 26.8 kg. It was 
        grown in Queensland, Australia in March 1988 
      13) The largest peach grown in Britain weighed 411 g, 
        and 30.4 cm wide. It was grown in August 1984 in London. 
      14) The largest ever pineapple weighed 7.96 kg and was 
        harvested in Brazil in 1978. 
      15) The largest bowl of strawberries ever weighed of 
        2,190 kg. 
      16) The longest continuous sausage was 21.12km long. 
      17) The largest ever hamburger weighed 2,500 kg , and 
        was in Wisconsin, USA in August 1989. 
      18) The world's largest jelly was a 35,000 litre watermelon 
        flavoured pink jelly made in Brisbane, Australia in February 1981. It 
        was made in a swimming pool. 
      19) The longest kebab ever was one 660m long, made in 
        Namibia in September 1991. 
      20) The longest loaf of bread was 1064m long, and was 
        baked in Mexico in January 1991. 
      21) The largest omelette in the world had an area of 
        123 m2 and was made in a pan 12.52m in diameter. It was cooked at a school 
        in Belgium in June 1990. 
      22) The largest pancake was 12.55m in diameter, 3 cm 
        deep, and weighed 2,680 kg. It was baked and flipped in South Africa in 
        March 1992. 
      23) The largest pizza ever baked measured 37.4m in diameter, 
        and was made in Norwood, South Africa in December 1990. 
      24) The largest cheese ever created was a cheddar of 
        1,817 kg, made in March 1988 in Wisconsin, USA. It was taken on a tour 
        in a specially designed, refrigerated 'Cheesemobile'. 
      25) The most expensive food in the world is a spice 
        called Saffron, which comes from a plant called a crocus. It comes from 
        Spain and is sold at Harrods in London at £305 per 100 g. This makes 
        it more expensive than gold!
