People can play games in VR environments by wearing a kind of helmet with tiny computer screens in front of their eyes, and by wearing sensors so that the computer can detect their movements and show them in the screens on their eyes. That's a long way away from the computer games that most of us play!

Virtual Reality is used in games and amusement parks, but it's not just for fun. It also plays a very important role in training. For example, flight simulators let people who are training to be pilots learn exactly how to fly a plane without even getting in one! Amazing isn't it?!

So computer games aren't only fun - they can be really useful too!
