Glasgow's Merchant City - reconstruction:
Glasgow's Merchant City was originally the administrative, commercial and cultural heart of the city and the home of the city's 18th century merchants. Today it is coming back to life – people are moving back in. Old buildings are being converted and the Merchant City has successfully reinvented itself as a popular location for socialising and for city living. We take a look at some of the new building projects in the area and find out who is moving in and why. We talk to Ewan Curtis from the Merchant City Initiative, Councillor Gordon Matheson, Stephen Flannery and Michael Johnson from the Brunswick Hotel and Lauren Robertson from the Scottish Youth Theatre.
