Orkney - Introducing an island group:
Orkney is one of Scotland's largest groups of islands. It lies off the north coast of Scotland. Although there are around 70 islands, only 19 of them are inhabited. Using maps, scenic shots and dramatic aerials of the islands, we show where Orkney is positioned in relation to Scotland. We show the shape of the island group, describe the main towns and reveal how long it takes to reach the outer islands. We also meet some Orcadians.
