CharactersBefore you start writing, you need to know your characters very well. Remember that no one else knows who they are and that you, as the writer, have to introduce them to your readers. If you know them well, you will write about them in a convincing and interesting way. Your main character should be someone both you and your readers can feel something in common with, or at least care about. You don't have to describe every character in a lot of detail. It can be enough to say one or two things about how a character looks, moves or speaks, as long as your readers will be able to picture or imagine what they might be like.
