Characters

Who are your characters? What are they like? You should know the answers to these questions before you start writing about them.

You must decide who the central character is; this is also called the 'protagonist' or hero/heroine. He or she will be the focus of the story. This character may have a flaw, so he or she might be a bit clumsy, but the character should also be likeable, so he or she might be very generous.

You could even base your characters on real people if you wanted to, such as one of your friends or someone in your family.
