Culross Palace:

Culross Palace in the village of Culross, Fife, was built between 1597 and 1611 for Sir George Bruce, a prosperous businessman, grown rich on the natural resources of the town - coal mines and salt pans. Michael Pitt, a Culross Palace guide, shows us round. He tells us many interesting facts about the Palace – for example where Sir George entertained, where the guests slept, how potties were used and why the exterior was painted with sheep dip.
