Anne came to the throne in 1702. She was sister to Mary II. Anne was a simple and kind-hearted woman who most enjoyed drinking tea with her friend Sarah Churchill. Sarah's soldier husband was made Duke of Marlborough after his victories against the French. Anne died in 1714 without an heir.
