The House of York
Edward IV was made king in 1461 when the nobles on the side of York defeated those supporting Henry VI and Lancaster. Edward left a 12-year-old son, Edward V, but the boy was never crowned - he and his brother disappeared. Their uncle became Richard III. After only three years Henry Tudor claimed the throne. He defeated Richard at Bosworth in 1485.
