Edward IV
|
Edward belonged to the House of York. He first took the throne in 1461, but was removed briefly in 1470 by Lancastrian supporters. A year later he was restored. During the rest of his reign, which lasted until his unexpected death in 1483, he tried to restore order to the kingdom and was a popular king.
